CHROMA

Headlining Wednesday night at the all new Porters is the bi-lingual alt-rock band, CHROMA. With sellout shows across Wales and a debut album released in 2023, they have been making waves in the music scene. In 2024, they will be supporting the Foo Fighters and appearing at various festivals.

Influenced by Yeah Yeah Yeah's and The Gossip, CHROMA has received early radio support from BBC Radio 1, BBC 6 Music, Kerrang! Radio, and more. Their debut album explores themes such as growing up in the South Wales Valleys and the experiences of young women, addressing topics like infighting within the feminist movement and violence against women.
GILLIE

Raised within the Welsh heartlands of Carmarthenshire, music has always been second nature to Gillie Ione Rowland aka Gillie.
Deeply influenced by place and now living within the burgeoning metropolis of London, Gillie blends the serenity of the Welsh countryside with the industrial undergrowth of city life, to create something hauntingly serene.
HALF HAPPY

Half Happy burst onto the Cardiff Music scene in 2022, catching the attention of BBC Introducing's Adam Walton with their release 'Runaway Girl'. They quickly gained recognition, earning the title of Huw Stephens Artist of the Week and securing a spot on Spotify's 'Hot New Bands' playlist. Their debut and headline shows at Clwb Ifor Bach sold out, and they impressed audiences at the Green Man Festival. Recently, Half Happy was honoured with the prestigious 2023 Triskel Award at the Welsh Music Prize, recognizing them as one of the brightest emerging artists of the year.

With influences from Tame Impala, Foals, and Radiohead, the band combines their love for 90's music with a fresh and captivating sound that resonates with both new fans and loyal followers. Half Happy's dynamic vocals, tight indie drums, and captivating guitar riffs create a unique blend of heaviness and heavenly melodies. They are more than just Half Happy - they are a band to keep an eye on in 2024.
