Who are we looking for? 

We’re looking for driven young people who love music and want the chance to learn new skills and expand their network in the music industry.  

  • You’re between the ages of 18-30  

  • Based in either Cardiff, Newport or Swansea  

  • Have an interest in the music industry and an eagerness to learn 

  • Have availability to attend monthly online sessions, in-person workshops and shadowing shifts in your area 

  • Key dates: first and last Monday of the month for an in-person and online meeting

Are you between 18-30 years old, interested in working behind the scenes of the music industry in Wales and based in Cardiff, Newport or Swansea? We're launching a new strand of our Membership programme: a bespoke, six-month Grassroots Music Industry Traineeship designed to support and develop the next generation of grassroots music industry professionals in Wales. 

This programme will equip individuals with the practical skills, confidence and industry experience needed to progress into sustainable employment within the live music sector and wider creative industries. 

We have teamed up with Clwb Ifor Bach in Cardiff, Le Pub and the Corn Exchange in Newport and Bunkhouse, Swansea to offer workshops, online training and bespoke masterclasses

AM I ELIGIBLE?

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

WHAT’S THE COMMITMENT?

You must be 18–30 and live in the Cardiff, Newport or Swansea local authority areas. You should have an interest in music and creative careers.

 

No previous industry experience is required.

We’re looking for curious, motivated and enthusiastic people who want to develop new skills, build confidence, meet industry professionals and explore opportunities behind the scenes in music.

The programme runs for 6 months, combining online sessions, in-person workshops, mentoring, shadowing and access to paid industry opportunities.

 

You’ll need to commit to regular sessions and opportunities in your local area.
