We’re here to dispel this myth and discuss with our panellists what's it like to forge a career in music when you speak a minority language and grow up in rural Wales.

Join Rhys Grail (Artist/photographer and member of the band Gwilym), Owain Williams (Klust Music) and host Tegwen Bruce-Deans (freelance journalist/writer) as they discuss their success and struggles within the world of music and creating a career inside and outside of Wales.

Tegwen Bruce-Deans

Born in London and raised amongst the rolling hills of Radnorshire in Mid Wales,  Tegwen Bruce-Deans now lives in Bangor where she works as a researcher and content producer for BBC Radio Cymru. Attending gigs regularly with her father, she nurtured a keen interest in the music of Wales and its mother tongue from a young age. Tegwen began to combine her passion for writing with her love for music, prompted by the lack of female representation in the Welsh language music scene.
